Guns like megahand or heroine are charged, and while they can get rid of a big enemy in two shots you're gonna have a bunch of smaller enemies up in your face (esp in rooms with spents). High Damage guns like compressed air tank or prototype railgun for example have low ammo counts and serve much better as boss killers.

When you're talk about guns that can do it in 1 or 2 shots, they generally have bigger drawbacks compared to it. There's no other gun with the combination of reliability, availability and power.
